A Fuze Case to Give the iPhone 7 a Headphone Jack

The Fuze case promises to provide an easier means of using traditional headphones with the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, since it features an integrated 3.5mm jack together with a Lightning adapter.

In addition it includes a battery (rated at either 2400mAh for the iPhone 7 and 3600mAh for the iPhone 7 Plus), allowing users to simultaneously charge the smartphone and listen to music without need for a dongle or adapter. The case should also add some protection to the iPhone through TPU and ABS plastic construction, weighs 28g and adds just 5mm of overall thickness to the phone.

A Stereoscope for the iPhone With Elsewhere

A Stereoscope for the iPhone With Elsewhere

Back in Victorian times people had a lot of fun with stereoscopes, a means to enhance the illusion of depth of still photographs. Now this old technique reaches the iPhone with the Elsewhere headset, a gadget looking very much like something from the old days.

The Elsewhere headset works in combination with a companion app to convert any picture or video on the device to 3D through what the makers boldly describe as "technomancy" (as mentioned earlier, the process is very much akin to stereoscopy). The simple viewer features a pair of adjustable lenses and clamps to the iPhone before one puts the device straight to their face.

While the 3D effect is described as fairly impressive, one has to keep in mind the Elsewhere does not provide a truly immersive experience-- meaning one cannot turn their heads in order to look around world generated by a photo or video. Disappointingly it also does not support the direct viewing of YouTube or Netflix through the app. Instead the makers suggest a curious turnaround involving playing the video on a computer and viewing it through the phone camera, all while holding the headset to your face.

A Strap to Hold the AirPods in Place

A Strap to Hold the AirPods in Place

Apple might insist the move towards wireless audio is one of courage, but many commentors point out wireless earbuds might be very easy to lose. Enter Spigen and the AirPods Strap, a strap for, well, securing the AirPods.

The "tangle-free" attachment snaps on to the arms at the bottom of each earbud without affecting the microphones, and as such "keep your AirPods in place around your neck, in your pocket, or anywhere you can hang a strap." And that's all one can say about the strap, really, although it's ironic one might need a cable in order secure their cable-free earbuds.

The package also includes a wire holder attachment to ensure the strap remains tangle-free.

According to the company the increase in weight allows the stand to hold larger devices, such as the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. However it suggests the HiRise 2 is not suitable for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro,  due to the smaller dimensions. Otherwise every other iDevice is fair game, including the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

Apple Updates Official Cases

Apple Updates Official Cases

Following the launch of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus it is only natural for Apple to update its official case lineup, with options available in either silicone or leather.

The leather cases are perhaps more interesting through a subtle Apple detail-- machined aluminium sleep and volume buttons. This might not sound like much, but it should fix issues with the leather material making the buttons difficult to press. The leather itself is of the specially tanned variety, and the inside has a microfibre lining to help protect the iPhone.
